Serious Crash Australian Free Style Motorcross Championships Latrobe

At approximately 5:15pm 15/11/2014 a rider competing in the Australian Freestyle Motocross Championships at the Latrobe Speedway crashed and suffered critical head injuries. The rider was a 21 year old male competitor from Western Australia. Tasmania Police and Ambulance officers were present at the time. The event was stopped for approximately 2 hours whilst the incident was investigated. Ultimately fellow competitors elected to continue once investigations concluded.

A large crowd were in attendance at the time. Police are calling for members of the public who may have footage of the accident to contact Devonport Police.
