A 47 year old man from Midway Point received serious leg injuries as a result of a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Lake Vue Parade and Suncrest Avenue Midway Point on the 30th of December 2013 at 1.20pm.

The motor cycle rider was riding a blue Harley Davidson in a southerly direction on Lake Vue Parade.  At this time a white Hyundai hatch being driven by a 63 year old female was travelling in an easterly direction on Suncrest Avenue.  At the time of the collision there was a 49 year old female from Sorell travelling in the front passenger seat of the Hyundai.  The motor cycle and the car have collided at the intersection of the above named streets.  

As a result of the collision the rider of the Harley Davidson has sustained severe leg injuries.  The female occupants of the Hyundai were not injured.

The rider was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital by ambulance where he is reportedly in a stable condition.

Police would like to hear from any person who may have witnessed the crash or saw either vehicle prior to the crash.
