Serious Bicycle Crash – Rosehill Crescent, Lenah Valley (29-Jul)

A 44 year old male from Lenah Valley is in the Royal Hobart Hospital in a Critical condition after being involved in a bicycle crash on Rosehill Crescent, Lenah Valley at approximately 8.48am on Wednesday the 29th day of July 2015.

The male was travelling east and negotiating a steep section of Rosehill Crescent on a black mountain bike when he lost control and was thrown from the bike onto the roads surface. The male was wearing an approved bicycle helmet at the time however sustained serious head injuries as a result of the crash

The male was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital by ambulance.

Rosehill Crescent was closed for approximately two hours whilst police crash investigation and forensic services conducted their preliminary investigation.

The crash investigator, Constable Adam HALL, would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the rider prior to the incident.
