At about 8pm Wednesday 17 July 2013 a fight broke out at the Mowbray Hotel.

As a result a 50 year old man was taken to the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) with head injuries and is in a stable condition.

A 28 year old man was also taken to the LGH with significant head injuries and was transferred to the Royal Hobart Hospital for surgery.  He is in a critical condition.

Two brothers aged 38 and 42 from Ravenswood have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and assaults arising from the altercation and have been detained for court on Thursday 18 July 2013 at 11.30am in the Launceston Court of Petty Sessions.
