Second person charged with perverting justice
Tasmania Police Detectives have arrested a second person in relation to perverting justice.
A 57 year old man from Risdon Vale was arrested late last week. He was interviewed by detectives and will be proceeded against by summons to appear in court at a later date on the charge of Perverting Justice.
Police will allege that the man provided false evidence in relation to an application by Susan Neill-Fraser to appeal her 2010 conviction for the murder of Bob Chappell.
The man was to appear as a witness at a hearing that was set down for July but was adjourned indefinitely.
The charge is a result of a lengthy investigation which is ongoing and further charges may be laid.
