Tasmania Police is conducting a search in the Oldina Forest (near Wynyard) for a 19 year old male and a 20 year old female who were reported missing by family about 7.30pm last night.

The couple had been missing since approximately 10pm on Wednesday night.  Their vehicle was located in a car park near some walking tracks in the Oldina Reserve.  It is believed that they became lost when walking on a disused walking track.  They are not equipped for bushwalking and believed to be wearing light summer clothing.

The couple are local Wynyard people, and the male is understood to have a good knowledge of the area.

An extensive search commenced last night involving search and rescue police officers and continues today with approximately 35 people involved in the search including the Westpac rescue helicopter, police officers, State Emergency Service personnel and family members.
