Search continues for missing fisherman
The search for missing Deloraine man, Kerry Frankcombe, will continue early next week with plans to again use the Westpac Rescue helicopter to search a vast stretch of the northern coastline.
After five days of extensive land and sea searches, sadly the 75-year-old fisherman has not yet been located.
He was reported missing on Sunday September 10, and his fishing vessel was located by police in waters about 12km off the coast of Beechford in the early hours of Monday.
Acting Western District Commander Rebecca Davis said police were continuing to work closely with his family.
“Mr Frankcombe’s family wish to express their gratitude to members of the community and emergency services who have committed to the search effort and supported their family,” she said.
