On Saturday 15 February 2014 at about 2:00pm, a deliberately lit bushfire caused extensive damage to vegetation in the area between Atkins Street in Rokeby and Buckingham Drive in Howrah Gardens.

A youth was spoken to by Detectives from Bellerive CIB and is being proceeding against in relation to this matter.

Police are interested in hearing from anyone who has information in relation to the investigation of deliberately lit fires. Police are still investigating a similar crime in the Dorans Road Sandford area from 6 February 2014 at about 4:00pm when a number of fires were deliberately lit.
