Robbery  – Valern Hotel Bottle Shop

 At 8:50pm on Tuesday 28 April 2015, the bottle shop at the Valern Hotel, Moonah was in the process of closing for business, with two staff members in attendance.

At this time, a Daewoo Nubira station wagon entered the bottle shop drive way.  Two people left the vehicle and forced their way into the shop.

The offenders then removed an undisclosed sum of cash from the registers before they left the area in the Daewoo.

The staff members were not injured during the incident.

The vehicle used by the offenders was located in Fletcher Avenue, Moonah a short time later.  It had however received extensive damage after being set alight.

One of the suspects was wearing a dark coloured hooded jumper with ‘VANS’ emblem on front and track pants, and the other was wearing a red and white jumper with dark ‘Everlast’ track pants.

Detectives from Glenorchy CIB would like to hear from anyone who may have observed either the suspects or the vehicle in the Moonah area, last night.
