Robbery – Taxi Driver – Derwent Park

Police would like to speak with anyone that may be able to assist with information relating to the robbery of a taxi driver at Karwash Derwent Park around 11.00pm on Sunday 12/6/11.

At this time a taxi driver, aged 48 years, from West Moonah was pushed and assaulted by two male offenders, as he cleaned his vehicle in the car wash. The two men then stole a small amount of cash along with the taxi’s coin rack.

Detective Constable Cary MILLHOUSE of the Glenorchy CIB states “the two males were wearing hooded jumpers at the time of the offence and left along the disused railway track adjacent to the car wash”.

Glenorchy CIB would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the car wash at the time of this robbery or has any information they believe would be of help in the investigation.
