Shortly after midnight on New Years Day Tasmania Police attended a single vehicle accident in Acacia Drive at Ansons Bay.

It is believed a 29 year old Bridport man was the operator of an ATV at the time of the incident.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name has not been released at this time.
