Road fatality
A 26 year old man from Brighton died as a result of a two vehicle crash on Boyer Road, New Norfolk, on Wednesday the 4th day of September 2013 at 6.25pm.
The deceased and his 24 year old female passenger were travelling in a westerly direction in a red Kia Rio. At that time a 27 year old man from Chigwell and his 25 year old male passenger from Rosetta were travelling in an easterly direction. The men were travelling in a white Holden Commodore Sedan.
The two vehicles have collided head on in the west bound lane approximately 1 kilometre west of Norske Skog.
As a result of the collision the male driver of the Kia died at the scene. The female passenger in this vehicle received a broken leg, cuts and bruising, she is in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Commodore received multiple broken bones. He was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a serious condition. The front seat passenger of the Commodore received a broken nose cuts and bruises and is in a stable condition.
Police would like to hear from any person who may have witnessed the crash or saw either vehicle prior to the crash.
