Rest, revive, refresh on Monday
SES volunteers will be working throughout the North and North West on the Monday public holiday to help make sure drivers get home safely.
Driver Reviver sites operate on the Monday of each long weekend and are a road safety initiative to provide a safer community and reduce driver tiredness.
The program is managed by the Road Safety Advisory Council and supported by MAIB and SES, with some national sponsorship.
SES NW Regional Manager, Wayne Richards urged all motorists to take care on the roads.
“If a driver feels tired, or is losing concentration, they should stop and rest,” Mr Richards said.
Driver Reviver stations will be at:
- Franklin River on the Lyell Highway
- Fossey River on the Murchison Highway
- Parramatta Creek on the Bass Highway
- The Sideling Lookout on the Tasman Highway
