SES, Police including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, responded to a report of an injured bushwalker on the Shower Cave Falls Track near Meander in northern Tasmania.

Police received a call from a member of the public around 1pm, after a 79 year old man who was bushwalking with a group of people, fell and dislocated his shoulder.

A paramedic from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was winched to a safe location nearby and was able to provide treatment before walking the injured man out with the assistance of SES personnel.
