About 12.10pm this afternoon the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter was activated to medivac an 18 year old man from the cliffs at the southern end of Blackmans Bay Beach. 

 The man had fallen 10-12 metres down the cliffs and was inaccessible from the clifftop. 

 A flight paramedic and rescue crewman were winched down to the man who was treated by the paramedic.  He was transported to a waiting ambulance by police vessel.

 The 18 year old was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital in a stable condition with a back injury.
