Renewed call for witnesses to dangerous driving on Tasman Highway
Tasmania Police is renewing their call for witnesses to come forward who saw a black BMW X5 SUV driving dangerously on the Tasman Highway on Hobart’s eastern shore late last year.
Police allege the vehicle, registration number F95PF, was driving dangerously on the Tasman Highway between Rose Bay and Mornington around 7:20am on Tuesday 10 October last year.
“Police received calls from concerned motorists after the driver performed a U-turn in the middle of the highway and drove against the flow of traffic, heading towards the Hobart Airport,” said First Class Constable Joshua Tringrove from Bellerive Police Station.
“With a manoeuvre like this being so dangerous we’re hoping that it has stuck in people’s minds. We’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed the BMW driving dangerously that morning.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperstas.com.au
