Ram raid on Devonport business
At about 11:25pm on 27 June 2011, the business premises City Bike Centre, located at Don Road in Devonport, was entered unlawfully and a quantity of property including motor bike boots, gloves and helmets were stolen.
The offender was driving a white 1985 Ford Courier flat tray utility, which was stolen from the Car Mart next door. The vehicle was used to ram the front of the business to gain entry. A male person wearing dark clothing was observed with this vehicle.
When leaving the scene the utility nearly collided with another utility travelling on Don Road, Devonport, before driving away on Nixon Street.
Devonport Criminal Investigation Branch are conducting enquiries in relation to the burglary and are appealing to any witnesses, particularly the driver of the second vehicle, to make contact with Police.
