Sadly a 56 year old woman from Railton has died as a result of a two vehicle crash at Railton this morning. At 10am today, police attended the crash between a blue Suzuki sedan and a green Subaru wagon on Kimberley Road.

Initial investigations indicate the driver of the Suzuki may have lost control of her vehicle before colliding with the second vehicle on a corner then rolling and coming to rest on the side of the road. The driver and sole occupant of the Suzuki died at the scene.

The driver of the Subaru and the passenger were taken to the North West Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Speed and road conditions are not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Police remain on scene conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash. A report is being prepared for the Coroner. Police are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the blue Suzuki driving prior to the crash.

Kimberley Road, between Hardwicks Road and Maloneys Road remains closed and motorists are asked to avoid this area until the scene is cleared.
