Quoiba Crash

At approximately 4pm Police and Ambulance personnel attended a single vehicle crash on Devonport Road Quoiba.

A blue Ford Falcon utility with 3 occupants, was being driven in a southerly direction on Devonport Road when the driver lost control and collided with a power pole, a sign and a fence. The collision resulted in extensive damage to the vehicle and damage and disruption to power services in the area as well as Devonport CBD.

Two of the occupants, a 26 year old female and a 28 year old male, both from Devonport, were conveyed to the Mersey Community Hospital with minor injuries.

The incident was attended by uniform police from Devonport, Crash Investigation Services, Ambulance Tasmania and Aurora Energy.

Preliminary investigations into the crash suggest speed and alcohol may be contributing factors.

Police would like to hear from any person who may have witnessed a blue Ford Falcon utility being driven in the Devonport, Spreyton or Quoiba areas between 3pm and 4pm on Saturday 10 November 2012.
