Queenstown house fire
Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Cutten St, Queenstown, overnight on Monday 12 September.
About 11.40pm Emergency Services were called to the fire by residents of the street. On arrival the house was well alight and local fire units worked to control the fire and protect neighbouring houses.
The house had been vacant for some years, being used as a storage facility by the owner. The house was completely destroyed by the fire, causing about $90,000 damage to the house and contents.
Police would like to speak to anybody with information, or who witnessed anyone acting suspicious in the area on Monday evening. Anybody with information is asked to contact the Queenstown Police on 64713020 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
