Quad Bike Crash – Bridgenorth

A 75-year-old man has sustained non-life threating injuries in a quad bike rollover while riding in bushland near Bridgenorth yesterday.

The crash occurred just after midday in an area of thick bushland at the end of Kerrisons Road.

The man was riding with a group of friends when the quad bike he was riding flipped, trapping him underneath. The quad bike was not fitted with a roll cage and the man was wearing a helmet.

The Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter was activated but was unable to access the man due to the thick vegetation.

The man was transported by ambulance to the Launceston General Hospital with a suspected broken pelvis.
