At about 2.30am on the 16/3/19 a 38 year old male presented at the Launceston General Hospital suffering a number of stab wounds to his torso.  He was wearing blue jeans and a white Unit t-shirt with black writing.  He has brown hair and is approximately 180cm in height.

Police have been unable to speak to the male to ascertain what occurred and are requesting public assistance as whether anybody has seen a disturbance or a male matching this description in the Wellington Street and CBD areas between about 9.30pm on the 15/3/19 and up until about 2.30am on the 16/3/19.
