Public assistance leads to arrest of two men

Two men aged 27 and 28 years have been charged with aggravated burglary of two premises in Sandy Bay on Thursday 31 March 2016.  The 27 year old was charged with an additional offence of possessing an implement or instrument with intent to commit a crime or an offence.

About 4:15pm on 31 March 2016, Police responded to reports from members of the public who observed the suspicious activity of a group of men and women in the area of Sandy Bay Road.  Further assistance from members of the public led to the identification and subsequent arrest of the 27 and 28 year old for the above offences.  Both men have been bailed to appear in court at a later date.

Enquiries are continuing in relation to the identity of other people believed to have been involved with these offences.  Police would like to acknowledge and thank the members of the community who provided information leading to the arrest of the two men.  Anyone with further information in relation to this matter is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
