Protest Action at Bell Bay
On Friday 29th July 2011police attended a company on Mobil Road, Bell Bay in relation to protestors.
One protestor was chained to a conveyor belt used to load woodchips onto a ship and another chained to a loaded log truck. Three other protestors left the site upon police request.
Uniform and Search and Rescue personnel attended the site. At approximately 11.35am all protestors where released from their positions and arrested.
The protestors were charged with trespass and obstruct police. All were bailed and will appear in the Launceston Court Petty Session on Wednesday 31st August 2011 at 9.30am.
