Fire Investigators and Detectives have spent the morning at Primrose Sands following the structure fire on Tamarix Road in the early hours.  Police and Emergency services responded to the call at about 2.20am this morning.

This is the 7^th suspicious fire in the area and police have reissued their appeal for information.

“Detectives have noted that there are several distinctive differences between this fire and the previous ones and are keen to speak with anyone who saw or heard anything unusual either last night or in the early hours of this morning, said Constable Damien McVilly.

“The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire and thankfully no one has been physically injured as a result of the Fire.

“Police understand the heightened community concern around these incidents and would like to reassure residents and home owners that every report is treated seriously and that all information received is being processed and investigated thoroughly.

“Regular police patrols will be conducted in the area in the coming days,” he said.
