Police undertake forensic examination of Mayfield property

Northern detectives and forensic officers are on the scene of a Mayfield property in relation to the ongoing investigation of missing 24 year old Launceston man Tyson Timothy Clark-Robertson.

 

Three people – a 45 year old man, a 53 year old man, and a 19 year old woman, all of Mayfield, are currently in custody and assisting police with their enquiries.

 

The confirmed last sighting of Tyson Timothy Clark-Robertson was at the Newnham IGA at about 3pm on 19 July 2016. Concerned family members notified police on 10 March 2017.

 

Detective Inspector Philippa Burk said that a team of police officers from Forensic Science Services Tasmania, Forensic Services and Launceston CIB are carrying out a number of examinations at the Mitchell St residence.

 

“Police believe that Mr Clark-Robertson may have become a victim of foul play. Forensic investigations overnight have located remains, believed to be human, at the property,” Inspector Burk said.
