A police trainee from Southern Tasmania has been charged with Sexual Intercourse with a Young Person Under the Age of 17 Years.

The matter remains under investigation.

The 19-year-old man has been stood down on full pay and will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on 10 April 2017.
