Police seize illegally manufactured firearms
A 46-year-old man will be proceeded against in relation to several firearms offences following a search by the Western Drug and Firearms Unit on Wednesday, where police seized several firearms.
During the search at a property on the Northwest Coast, police seized 8 firearms, multiple firearms parts, and other firearm related exhibits. Three of the firearms were identified as being illegally manufactured – two Serbu GB22 pistols and a PCP air rifle.
The man will be proceeded against for the offences of Trafficking in firearms, illegally dealing in firearms, possessing unregistered firearms, possess a shortened Firearm, Possess unsecured ammunition and fail to comply with the safe storage of firearms.
