Police are seeking the owner of the backpack which has been found unattended in the Walls of Jerusalem area on 23 November 2020.

The backpack was located 2km east of Mount Jerusalem and 2km north west of Lake Fanny just west of Powena Creek.

It was found by hikers in the area and does not appear to have been there very long.

The backpack has since been removed from the area by the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter and has been taken to the Launceston Police Station.

Inspector Darren HOPKINS said:

“If you own the backpack or know who may own it, please call Tasmania Police on 131 444 and quote reference number 118-02122020.”
