Police search continues for missing Mt Nelson man
Police are conducting doorknocks in the Mt Nelson area today in their ongoing search for missing man Shaun Cousins.
Mr Cousins, aged 43, was last seen at his Mt Nelson home at 10.40pm on Sunday November 9.
Police are conducting door-to-door enquiries in the area to establish whether there have been any possible sightings of him since then.
Marine patrols in the Sandy Bay, Taroona and Kingston areas will also be conducted today.
Investigating officer, Sergeant Andrew Fogarty said: “We’d like to thank those members of the public who have come forward with possible sightings of him. These have all now been ruled out.
“Some people have also been doing their own searches in the area.
“It’s difficult terrain and we ask that anyone doing this ensures they are properly equipped and their health is up to it.”
Mr Cousins is described as being approximately 182cm, medium build, short light brown hair, and clean shaven. It’s not known what he was wearing but he may have a blue polar fleece jumper and/or a black windfleece jacket.
Anyone who believes they have seen him or who has information that could help the search is asked to call police on 131 444.
