The Tasmania Police recruitment program was put on hold in 2011 in response to difficult budget circumstances.

However, we have maintained a ‘state of readiness’ to implement a course should those circumstances change.

Recruiting remains on the agenda in our discussions with Government and we look forward to reinstating our recruitment course in the future.

We understand the disappointment of Tasmanians who would like the opportunity to become a member of Tasmania Police and we can assure them that recruitment remains a focus for us.
