The Tasmania Police officer charged with a drink driving offence after a single vehicle crash on the East Derwent Highway, Risdon, in the early hours of Saturday morning 22 October 2011, has been stood down from duty.

The officer was stood down from duty on full pay pending an investigation.  “It is inappropriate to release any further details while the matter remains under investigation,” said Deputy Commissioner Scott Tilyard.
