Police Offences Act 1935 Public Consultation
The consultation period for proposed amendments to the Police Offences Act 1935 and Regulations closes on November 25.
On 20 October 2011, the Minister for Police and Emergency Management, David O’Byrne, released a discussion paper containing proposals for amendments to the Act and Regulations for public consultation and comment. This discussion paper is now available on the internet at www.police.tas.gov.au, or by telephoning 03 6230 2600.
Late submissions will be considered. Comment is sought on the proposals to seek a total community view. The proposed amendments are not government policy and may, as part of the development process, be modified.
Submissions may be provided to the Department of Police and Emergency Management, and those marked “Confidential” will be deemed to be confidential and will not be released to any other party.
