Police investigation ongoing into armed robbery at Mood Food New Norfolk
Police are seeking public assistance to identify a car and man involved in the armed robbery at Mood Food New Norfolk last week.
As part of the ongoing investigation into the aggravated armed robbery around 2am last Friday, police are seeking public sightings or vision of a silver Toyota Hatch, registration number DH7421, allegedly used by the offenders.
Police are also seeking public information to identify one of the two men involved in the robbery. He was dressed in dark clothing, had a balaclava covering his face, and threatened staff with a shortened firearm before fleeing the scene with a quantity of money.
The second man involved, a 22-year-old from Herdsmans Cove, has appeared before the Hobart Magistrates Court charged with aggravated armed robbery, aggravated assault and evade police. He was remanded in custody until 3 February 2020.
Anyone with information in relation to the robbery, or dash cam or smart phone vision of the Toyota around the time of the robbery, is urged to contact Tasmania Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
