Police investigation and search ongoing in relation to death of Jake Anderson-Brettner
The police investigation is ongoing in relation to the death of 24-year-old Launceston man Jake Anderson-Brettner.
“Police continue to investigate the events leading up to the death of Jake Anderson-Brettner who was last seen alive on 15 August,” said Detective Acting Inspector Craig Fox.
“Formal identification of the remains located near Myrtle Park on 19 August, believed to be Jake, is anticipated to be completed late this week.
“Searches are continuing at the Launceston Waste Disposal Centre to locate Jake’s remains, however at this stage, they have not been located.
“The circumstances of Jake’s death were traumatic and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
On 21 August police charged a 26-year-old Riverside man with Murder and a 25-year-old Riverside woman with Accessory After The Fact Of Murder, in relation to Jake’s death.
