Police are investigating a serious single motorbike crash at George Town last night where a man sustained serious injuries. 

Emergency services responded to the crash – involving a black Kawasaki Ninja motorbike – around 6.15pm on Bridport Road.

The 47-year-old man riding the bike was flown to the Launceston General Hospital in a serious condition. 

The road was closed until around 9.45pm while the scene was investigated and cleared. 

Anyone who saw the motorbike in the area prior to the crash is asked to contact police on 131 444 and quote ESCAD 371-19122024.
