Police investigating serious crash at Spreyton involving pedestrian
Police are investigating a crash at Spreyton this morning where a male pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
Around 6.45am police responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Mersey Main Road.
Police attended and located a man with serious injuries.
The pedestrian was transported to hospital and police are seeking public assistance to identify him.
The man had no identification on him at the time of the crash and checks of police systems have not returned an identification.
The man is described as 30-40 years old with short clipped brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans, blue Everlast trainers and a grey t-shirt with a Mr Happy picture on the front.
Anyone who is aware of an unaccounted-for man in the area that matches this description is asked to contact Devonport Police on 131 444.
At this stage in the police investigation, it appears the man has walked onto the roadway and was struck by a Ford Ranger and then a truck.
Police are continuing to speak to the drivers and a number of witnesses.
