Police investigating Herdsmans Cove firearms incident
Police are investigating after a firearm was reportedly shot towards a house in Herdsmans Cove last night.
Acting Sergeant Sam Storer said police were called to the scene about 7:40pm, after residents reported the sound of a firearm being discharged.
“Officers arrived to find the front window had been hit, but thankfully no one was injured,” he said.
“Police are calling for information from the public, and we’re asking anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage to contact us.”
“A 31-year-old man was arrested at the scene for unrelated matters, and has since been charged with unrelated firearms and other offences.”
The man will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court this morning.
