Police are searching for two people following a firearms incident in the Greater Hobart area today.

Shots were reportedly fired through a window at a Glenorchy residence. No-one was injured in the incident.

A dark coloured motorbike with a pillion passenger was reportedly seen leaving the scene about 2.00pm.

Numerous police resources, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter are being utilised in the search.
