Police investigating deliberately lit Queenstown house fire
Police are appealing for information as they investigate a house fire in Queenstown believed to have been deliberately lit in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 3am on Wednesday 11 December, police and emergency services responded to reports of a house fire at 15 Nankivell Street, Queenstown.
The house was fully engulfed by fire upon their arrival, causing an estimated $180,000 worth of damage.
The house was vacant at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported, however an examination of the scene has determined it was deliberately lit.
Police are urging anyone with information, including any suspicious activity in Queenstown around the time of the incident, to come forward.
