Police are investigating a deliberately lit house fire in Rocherlea in the early hours of this morning.

Around 12:35am Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police were called to a house fire on Cupania Street. The fire was quickly extinguished by Tasmania Fire Service but significant damage was caused to the property.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire and neighbouring properties were not affected.
