Police are investigating the burglary of a Burnie jewellery business overnight.

A significant amount of Citizen brand watches were stolen from ‘My Jewellers’ on Mount Street, and the store’s front windows smashed, sometime before 7.30am today.

Detectives in Burnie would like to speak to anyone who was in the Burnie CBD overnight, or early this morning and might have seen any suspicious behaviour.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to come forward.
