Police investigating Aggravated Armed Robbery in Chigwell
Police are investigating an aggravated armed robbery in Chigwell last night where a man received multiple stab wounds.
Around 11.30pm police were called to a residence on Langura Avenue where the
36-year-old resident had received head injuries and multiple stab wounds. He was transferred to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is in a stable condition.
It is alleged that two men forced entry into the residence armed with a knife. They stole a mobile phone and assaulted the man before leaving the scene.
The males went to lengths to conceal their identity however one of the offenders is described as around 193cm tall, wearing a hooded jumper and wearing a face mask.
Information at this time suggests this is an isolated incident where the victim has been specifically targeted.
