Police investigate suspicious vehicle fire in Bellerive
Police are calling for information following a suspicious vehicle fire in Bellerive overnight.
Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police personnel were advised of a vehicle on fire in a unit complex in Queen Street, Bellerive about 1am this morning.
On arrival a White Isuzu flat tray aluminium truck was seen to be fully alight, with heat from the fire also causing damage to the front façade of the unit itself as well as another vehicle parked close by.
No one was injured during the incident.
Tasmania Fire Service personnel extinguished the fire however the vehicle was destroyed (damage estimated at $65,000).
Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, however it is believed to be suspicious.
