Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a house fire in 177 Heatherbell Road about 11am this morning.

No-one was home at the time of the fire and initial indications are that the fire may be suspicious.

Police are seeking information from the public in relation to any people or vehicles seen acting suspiciously in the area at the time immediately before or after the fire.

The value of the property damage is believed to be in excess of $1 million.
