Police investigate suspicious fire – Clarendon Vale

Police are investigating a suspicious structure fire at Clarendon Vale last night.

 

Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a report of a house fire in Mockridge Road, Clarendon Vale about 10.15pm last night.

 

Upon arrival, the residence was well alight.  The fire was extinguished by fire crews a short time later.

 

The occupants of the residence were not home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries as a result of the incident.

 

The residence is owned by Mission Australia and the estimated value of the damage is approximately $50,000.

 

Forensic Services and CIB officers also attended the scene.

 

At this stage, police are treating the fire as suspicious and investigations are continuing as to the cause of the fire.
