Police are investigating a serious two vehicle crash at Forcett this morning.

Just before 8am, emergency services were called to the crash on the Arthur Highway approximately 500 metres north-west of the Inala Road Junction.

The drivers, a 27-year-old woman from Geilston Bay, and a 53-year-old woman from Primrose Sands, were both injured and transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Forensic Services and Crash Investigation Services attended the scene and have commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash. Initial indications suggest that weather conditions were a contributing factor.

Acting Inspector Duffey would like to remind motorists to “slow down, drive to the conditions and be safe on Tasmanian roads.”
