Glenorchy Detectives are currently investigating an incident this morning, Friday 5 October 2012, when a 14 year old female student from Dominic College was accosted by an unknown male.

The young girl was on Tolosa Street Glenorchy just past the Bowden Street round-a-bout when a male person in a red Mazda sedan stopped and after opening the rear door of his vehicle took hold of the young girl’s backpack, pulling her toward the car.

Another male person has intervened and prevented any further assault,  this person has then assisted the young girl continue on to school.

The young girl was not physically injured but obviously shocked by the events.

Glenorchy Detectives would particularly like to speak to the male person who assisted the young girl and any other person(s) who may have witnessed the incident or seen a red Mazda in Tolosa Street around 8.15am this morning.
