Police are investigating the theft of hand and power tools from a vehicle parked in Wynyard overnight on Monday.

A four wheel drive vehicle parked in Saunders Street, Wynyard in the vicinity of the Wynyard Airport had its rear storage compartments entered some time overnight on Monday 29 January.

The offender/s removed a substantial number of hand and power tools as well as electronic devices to an approximate value of $10,000.

Investigating officers believe the offender/s spent a considerable amount of time at the vehicle whilst the items were removed.

Police are appealing to any witnesses who observed any person/s or vehicles acting suspicious in the area, or have been offered cheap power tools to contact Burnie CIB or 131444.
