Around 11pm on Saturday, 77 January 2017 emergency services were called to a fire located at the address of 50 The Avenue, Ellendale.

The fire was contained at the time to two vehicles and the adjoining carport/garage that the vehicles were parked in.  The fire was extinguished without reaching the main structure of the house.

The damage to the two vehicles and garage is estimated to be $30,000.00.

The house was occupied at the time, however, there were no injuries.

Investigations are being conducted by Glenorchy CIB in order to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
